Supported by the RISE Project of Swiss NGO, Helvetas, and ARTICLE 22, weavers in three mountain villages in northern Laos are provided with silk and other production materials. Our mission is to develop their talents for the taste of an international market, empowering women to generate income through culturally relevant means such as hand loom weaving.

Silk is hand woven in a remote village in northern Laos. The women in this village weave at looms under their stilted homes.
This especially large scarf is lightweight and extra fine. It can be worn in many ways - as a wrap around the shoulders, neck scarf, sarong, halter top or halter dress. The ecru tone makes it easy to wear with a smart dress or cover any bikini aside the pool.
